Feel like a giant in a UK model village

Feel like a giant for the day in some of Britain’s incredibly detailed model villages! Here are our top 5 must see replicas.

1. Bourton-on-the-Water Model Village
This model village is a scale replica that is just one-ninth of the size of its namesake Cotswold village. It’s so true to life that it changes with the seasons – in the summer the cottages even feature greenhouses and miniature patio furniture.

2. Blackpool Model Village and Gardens
Whilst a holiday in Blackpool can often leave you feeling dwarfed in comparison to the sky high rollercoasters, a day at Blackpool Model Village and Gardens will leave you feeling incredibly tall! With hundreds of creative village scenes, a gift shop and even an ice cream stand, there’s plenty to keep everyone amused.

3. Lakeland Miniature Village
Set in the heart of the stunning Lake District in the popular holiday destination of Cumbria, this model village features over 140 buildings, including a replica of Hill Top, the home of beloved children’s author Beatrix Potter. Incredibly, no machinery has been used to craft these replicas – they have all been created lovingly by hand.

4. Godshill Model Village
Godshill Model Village is a one-tenth scale reinvention of two of the Isle of Wight’s oldest villages, Godshill and Shanklin. It’s a cute and quirky replica with details as minute as real thatching on the roof – definitely worth a visit if you’re holidaying in the area.

5. Babbacombe Model Village
Ironically for a miniature attraction, Babbacombe Model Village in Devon is rather large – set in 4 acres of award winning gardens. The village takes a journey through time, with sound and animation added to bring the whole setting to life.
