Holiday Ideas for New Year’s Eve

Everyone wants to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style, and there’s no better way to see in the New Year than in a new place. Why not round up your family and friends and head off to one of these exciting UK destinations to welcome 2013?

It may seem like an obvious choice, but London really is the place to go if you’re looking for a party on New Year’s Eve. Book an apartment close to Southbank and take in the breath-taking annual fireworks display next to the London Eye.

We have one word for you – Hogmanay! This traditional Scottish celebration features live bands, street parties, an incredible midnight firework display and even the world’s biggest Auld Lang Syne. Hogmanay is a celebration that attracts crowds from across the globe, so book your Edinburgh city break accommodation early to avoid disappointment.

Come to Cardiff and celebrate Calennig (the Welsh version of Hogmanay), and experience free live music, fireworks and all the fun of the fairground. You can even ring the New Year changes whilst skating around on the open air ice rink in the city centre.

Bideford is the place to be in Devon on New Year’s Eve, when the locals put on a fancy dress spectacular to see in the next twelve months. There’ll be drinks, dancing and fireworks aplenty – simple book a holiday cottage for the night and shimmy your way into 2013.
