The Isle of Wight is a fantastic UK holiday destination, just a short ferry ride off the coast from Southampton. There’s much to see and do on the island including many outdoor pursuits, beautiful beaches and attractions.

Get outdoors

If you love spending time outdoors, the Isle of Wight is perfect for you – it has been voted one of the top ten cycling destinations in the world, and there’s more than 500 miles of paths that can be discovered on bike, foot or horseback. There are also many other outdoor activities on offer including sailing, paragliding, golf, fishing and surfing.

Visit the beach

A visit to the Isle of Wight is not complete without a trip to the beach,and the island has 14 award-winning beaches covering 57 miles of coastline. Its historic cliffs also include world-famous fossil hunting.

Attend special events

The Isle of Wight is host to a number of events throughout the year, including the famous Cowes sailing regatta, the Isle of Wight music festival and even a festival dedicated to garlic!
