Lechlade-on-Thames at the head of the Thames and a gateway to the Cotswolds is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and the River Thames with its many beautiful waterside towns and villages - an unforgettably pleasurable boating experience as you mingle with traditional Thames craft such as skiffs passenger steamers and rowing eights. You can enjoy the numerous walking opportunities along and around the river and marvel at the excellent wildlife plus you will find plenty of riverside pubs. Lechlade is also an excellent base from which to hire your boat to watch the annual Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford (7-8 July 2012).
